In Finland, we are on an ambitious growth journey. We are now looking for a Corporate Analyst to join our Helsinki team and become part of the Customer Analysis Section (CAS) of DNB Large Corporates & International (LCI), to support DNB's continued expansion with leading Finnish mid- to large-cap corporates.

 

About the Role

The Large Corporates & International (LCI) division is responsible for DNB’s largest corporate clients across sectors including industrials, energy, ocean, consumer trade & services, financial institutions, healthcare, technology and financial sponsors. LCI is organized by industries, with clear sector strategies for business origination and capital allocation.

 

As a Corporate Analyst, you will be part of our Customer Analysis Section (CAS), working in a collaborative, analytical, and client-centric environment. CAS works closely with the bank’s client teams, engaging in dialogue with clients, client executives, and internal stakeholders to conduct risk assessments and financial analysis. The analysis forms the basis for well-founded business decisions aligned with the bank’s risk profile. CAS is highly focused on leveraging AI as an important tool to support the work of all credit analysts.

 

In this role, you will cover transactions including both prospects as well as existing clients. The client portfolio will comprise of mid- to large-cap companies of varying complexity depending on your previous experience. You will conduct credit reviews, identify key risk drivers at both institutional and market levels, take ownership of the credit process and be a main contributor to the preparation of decision material for credit committees and senior stakeholders.

 

Depending on your experience, you will either support or take a leading role in driving credit assessments, client-related processes, and presentations. The role involves close collaboration with both clients and internal stakeholders and offers opportunities to deepen your sector and product expertise, take on increased responsibility, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

 

Key responsibilities

You will cover Finland-headquartered companies in sectors such as Consumer, Industrials, Healthcare, TMT, and Business Services. Your responsibilities include:

  • Prepare financial analyses, credit assessments and submissions for credit committee.
  • Analyze new transactions, prospects and deals for existing clients.
  • Identify key company, sector and market risks and translate them into clear conclusions.
  • Take ownership of credit documentation and coordinate approval processes with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor client performance, exposures and material market or regulatory developments.
  • Work closely with Client Executives and specialists across lending, transaction banking, FICC and capital markets.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of analytical methods and processes.

 

Who you are

We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in financial markets and credit assessment. You may be early in your career or bring several years of relevant experience within credit risk, corporate banking, leveraged finance, or similar roles.

 

You have a strong analytical mindset combined with sound business judgment and a genuine interest in understanding companies and markets. Depending on your experience, you are either developing towards or already comfortable taking independent responsibility and interacting with senior stakeholders.

 

You are analytical, curious and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in companies, industries and financial markets. You work in a structured way, communicate clearly and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. You enjoy collaborating with others while being comfortable taking ownership.

 

We believe you bring:

  • A relevant master's degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering or a related field.
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills. Sound judgement, high integrity and strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to manage several priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English; Swedish or Norwegian is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience from corporate banking, credit analysis, investment banking, transaction services, audit or a similar field is an advantage.
