In Finland, we are on an ambitious growth journey. As part of our continued expansion, we are now seeking a Senior Working Capital & Trade Finance Specialist to help further develop and strengthen our Transaction Banking franchise and support the growth of Large Corporates & International (LCI) in Finland.

You will work with Finland’s leading corporates and collaborate closely with our Client Executives on the ground in Helsinki, sector teams and product specialists across DNB and DNB Carnegie to deliver integrated solutions spanning working capital, trade finance, guarantees, cash management, foreign exchange, lending, capital markets and advisory services.

About the Role

The Large Corporates & International (LCI) division is responsible for DNB’s largest corporate clients across sectors including industrials, energy, ocean, consumer trade & services, financial institutions, healthcare, technology and financial sponsors. LCI is organized by industries, with clear sector strategies for business 
origination and capital allocation.

Working Capital & Trade Finance is a strategic growth area for DNB, and we see significant opportunities to further strengthen our position in Finland. As Senior Working Capital & Trade Finance Specialist, you will play a central role in developing both new and existing client relationships and driving the growth of DNB’s Transaction Banking business.

This is a highly visible client-facing role with significant responsibility and opportunity from day one. You will act as a trusted adviser to CFOs, treasurers, and finance teams, helping clients optimize liquidity, improve working capital efficiency, mitigate risk and support international trade flows.

This role is ideal for a recognized market professional who combines deep expertise in working capital, trade finance and guarantees with a strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to originate business, build strategic client relationships and create commercial momentum.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a market-facing ambassador for DNB’s Working Capital & Trade Finance franchise, building new relationships and expanding our market presence across Finland.
• Develop and convert a strong pipeline of new client opportunities, leveraging your network and market presence to drive sustainable revenue growth.
• Drive DNB’s growth within Working Capital & Trade Finance in Finland by originating new transactions, new mandates and new client opportunities.
• Develop and execute sales plans for working capital and trade finance solutions with a clear focus on client value and financial results.
• Advise clients on working capital optimisation, trade finance structures, guarantees and risk mitigation solutions.
• Structure tailored solutions that help clients improve liquidity, manage risk and support international trade flows.
• Build trusted relationships with senior finance executives, trade finance teams and relevant decision makers.
• Work closely with Client Executives to identify opportunities across both existing relationships and new target clients.
• Assess credit risk and apply credit insurance terms, pricing and transaction structures to support sound and profitable business.
• Stay ahead of market, regulatory and product developments within working capital and trade finance, and translate insight into commercial action.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality client presentations, analyses and proposals for both standardised and tailored solutions.
• Unlock cross-selling and referral opportunities across cash management, foreign exchange, lending, and other relevant parts of DNB.
• Collaborate with product teams and strategic partners to further develop DNB’s working capital and trade.
• Represent DNB in the market as a senior and credible adviser within working capital and trade finance.

Who you are

You are a senior commercial transaction banker or working capital specialist with a strong market reputation, commercial mindset and a proven ability to originate business. You are energised by winning new mandates, opening doors and building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers.

You are not only technically strong; you know how to engage clients, identify needs, build conviction and move opportunities forward. You are collaborative, proactive and comfortable working in an international environment across product areas and geographies.

We believe you bring:

• 10–15+ years of relevant experience from transaction banking, corporate banking, working capital, trade finance or a related field.
• A demonstrable track record of originating new business, generating revenue and building long-term client relationships.
• An established network among Finnish corporates, CFOs and treasury professionals is considered a significant advantage.
• A proven track record of originating and executing client opportunities within working capital, trade finance, guarantees or related solutions.
• Strong commercial instincts and the ability to develop business with both existing and new clients.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders, including CFOs, treasurers and finance teams.
• Solid understanding of credit processes, financial analysis and risk considerations.
• Knowledge of guarantees, trade finance instruments, insurance structures, pricing and profitability drivers.
• The ability to translate complex product and risk topics into clear client value propositions.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the credibility to operate at senior client level.
• A proactive, opportunity-driven mindset and the confidence to take ownership.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in Finnish and English. Fluency in Swedish or Norwegian is an advantage.
• Higher academic education in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
