Investment Management Oversight Officer

DNB Asset Management is a leading asset manager in the Nordic region with around 140 employees across offices in Norway and Luxembourg and has more than EUR 80bn assets under management.
DNB Asset Management S.A. (the “Management Company”) is the Luxembourg arm and a licensed UCITS funds management company, a so-called Chapter 15 management company. The Management Company is principally engaged in UCITS fund administration, management, supervision and international marketing & sales. The International Marketing & Sales team is responsible for active fund distribution to international wholesale and institutional clients in markets outside the Nordic region, whereas the Governance & Administration team deals with the daily operations, contractual distributors as well as the compliance, risk and legal aspects of the fund management activity.  

We are recruiting an Investment Management Oversight Officer. 

As an Investment Management Oversight Officer, you will be part of the Governance & Administration team based in Luxembourg. We envisage an energic candidate carrying the oversight on our delegated investment manager. You will directly report to the Conducting Officer in charge of Investment Management Oversight.  

•    Lead the ongoing monitoring and due diligence exercises (including on-site visits) conducted on the delegated investment manager
•    Contribute to the development of the framework of procedures governing the portfolio management activities of the company
•    Prepare reports for the Management Committees, Board meetings and Regulator on issues regarding investment management 
•    Stay informed of the latest regulatory market trends to monitor, to challenge and to pro-actively advise the delegated investment manager´s portfolio performance as well as the product design
•    Ensure coherence of information related to investment management across fund documentation and correct application of Voting Right and Best execution policies
•    Assist sales team to answer investors’ queries 

Competence and experience requirements:
•    Minimum of three years’ experience in the fund industry (portfolio management, risk management, product specialist, advisory or oversight of delegated portfolio management)
•    Comprehensive knowledge of the markets, alongside with a strong knowledge of sustainability investments
•    Ability to understand different investment strategies, techniques and instruments
•    Knowledge of the legal and regulatory provisions applicable to the UCITS fund industry, and especially of the CSSF Circular 18/698


Personal qualifications:
•    University degree in finance or business (or equivalent qualification)
•    CFA qualification would be considered a plus
•    Fluent in English. French, German or Norwegian would be a strong advantage
