DNB Asset Management S.A. (the “Management Company”) is the Luxembourg arm and a licensed UCITS funds management company, a so called Chapter 15 management company. The Management Company is principally engaged in UCITS fund administration, management, supervision and international marketing & sales. The International Marketing & Sales team is responsible for active fund distribution to international wholesale and institutional clients in markets outside the Nordic region, whereas the Governance and Administration team deals with the daily operations, contractual distributors as well as the compliance, risk and legal aspects of the fund management activity.  

 

 

 

We are now recruiting a Wholesale Sales for the German-speaking countries for our Management Company.

 

As a Wholesale Sales you will be a member of the International Sales team, which rises each day to the challenge of optimizing the client experience by providing first-class service to our international clients. In your role as Wholesale Sales you will work closely with the Luxembourg-based teams as well as with many other teams across DNB`s organisation. You will help maintain our high level of client activities in the German-speaking countries and by that develop the firm`s wholesale sales business. This role will be based in Luxembourg and requires regular business travel.

 

You will report to the Head of International Sales of DNB Asset Management S.A.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Acquisition of new clients: establish and develop relationships within the wholesale segment incl. Germany´s savings- and union banks sector
  • Help establish and develop relationships with distribution networks
  • Strategic account planning, identifying new opportunities business development and communicating the strategy to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Arrange, prepare and conduct client meetings off premise
  • Participate in various industry conferences/events/roadshows
  • Arrange, prepare and conduct client seminars and other client activities
  • Prepare marketing materials and client presentations
  • Support research, client service and marketing efforts
  • Interact with all internal parties such as for ex. operations to resolve problems, enhance investment process and ensure optimal use of databases

 

Competence and experience requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master´s, MBA/CFA/CIIA a plus
  • Extensive experience in the investment management field
  • Proven excellence in a relationship management role, ideally demonstrated by several years of experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the wholesale asset management market in the German-speaking countries
  • Deep understanding of the sales process, prospecting, objection handling, closing and long-term relationship management
  • Hands on experience managing client relationships with the ability to take account ownership and strategically develop relationships
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and legal developments
  • Position investment ideas and other value-added services generating sales and assets
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and investment products (fixed income, equities, long/short equities) is a strong plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication in German and English, Nordic language would be an asset
