Senior Risk Manager – Operational Risk

Are you curious by nature and seek practical solutions?  As a Senior Risk Manager responsible for Operational Risk in COP you will have a large impact on how we work with Operational Risk in Corporate Banking (CB), a business area in DNB Bank ASA. 

Risk, Strategy and Portfolio Management division is, among other things, responsible for assisting and advising the customer divisions in Corporate Banking in handling non-financial risk in the business.  

The section “Corporate Responsibility, Operational Risk & Privacy” (COP) is responsible for a broad spectrum of risk management and compliance topics. Our ambition is to translate, implement, and operationalize according to expectations and requirements for Corporate Banking’s processes, people, and products. This is done together with the DNB`s best expertise and in close cooperation with business. The results have a large impact in achieving Corporate Banking objectives. 

You will be part of a global team of Subject Matter Experts (Risk Managers), working closely within Corporate Banking and across DNB (domestically and internationally). We are a team of 14 subject matter experts in Oslo.

Expectations for the position, tasks, and responsibilities (not exhaustive)

  • Strengthening the operational risk management and internal control within the 1. Line of Defense businesses in Corporate Banking
  • Implementation and operationalization of relevant Group standards, policies, frameworks, and instructions
  • Working closely with the divisions in Corporate Banking to ensure adherence to internal and external requirements 
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert on Operational risk to further enhance the internal control environment
  • Facilitating operational risk tools to mitigate risks
  • Active contribution and participation in development of system support on operational risk, e.g., BWise and ServiceNow
  • Project participation 


Qualifications required

  • Higher education within relevant disciplines at Master’s level or equivalent. Extensive and related work experience may compensate for prerequisite qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in (operational) Risk Management  
  • Excellent understanding of non-financial risk management framework, industry knowledge, risk reporting and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written). Norwegian is not a prerequisite, but any Scandinavian language is an advantage
