Risk Manager – Operational Risk

As a Risk Manager responsible for Operational Risk in COP you will have a large impact on how we work with Operational Risk in Corporate Banking (CB), a business area in DNB Bank ASA. 

 

Risk, Strategy and Portfolio Management division is, among other things, responsible for assisting and advising the customer divisions in Corporate Banking in handling non-financial risk in the business.  

 

The section “Conduct, Operational, & Privacy Risk” (COP) is responsible for a broad spectrum of risk management and compliance topics. Our ambition is to translate, implement, and operationalize according to expectations and requirements for Corporate Banking’s processes, people, and products. This is done together with DNB`s best expertise and in close cooperation with business. The results have a large impact in achieving Corporate Banking objectives.

 

You will be part of a global team of Subject Matter Experts (Risk Managers), working closely with in Corporate Banking and across DNB (domestically and internationally). We are a team of 13 subject matter experts in Oslo.  

 

Main tasks:

  • Strengthening the operational risk management and internal control within the 1. Line of Defense businesses in Corporate Banking.
  • Implementation and operationalization of relevant Group standards, policies, frameworks, and instructions. 
  • Working closely with the divisions in Corporate Banking to ensure adherence to internal and external requirements. 
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert on Operational risk to further enhance the internal control environment.
  • Facilitating operational risk tools to mitigate risks.
  • Active contribution and participation in development of system support on operational risk, e.g., BWise and ServiceNow.
  • Project participation. 


Qualifications required:  

  • Relevant higher education at bachelor’s or master’s degree. Extensive and related work experience may compensate for prerequisite qualifications.
  • Relevant experience from the financial service sector.   
  • Good understanding of non-financial risk management framework, industry knowledge, risk reporting and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in English and a Scandinavian language (oral and written).
