What Will Your Responsibilities Be?

We are facing an exciting transformation in both technology and ways of working, and we would like you to be part of this journey. In this role, you will, among other things:

  • Develop, improve, and modernize existing mainframe systems
  • Develop new applications in line with our modernization strategy
  • Troubleshoot, fix, and operate solutions together with our technology partners


Who Are You?

You are a curious, deep-diving software developer who works independently yet collaborates closely with developers, business and operations; whether experienced or newly graduated you’ll be supported to learn mainframe/COBOL; you prioritise readable, robust, testable code with an automation-and-reuse mindset; you communicate effectively in Norwegian and English, thrive in distributed teams, and willingly share knowledge.


Background and technical skills:

  • Advanced mainframe skills min 5 years hands on development experience in : COBOL, DB2, IMS DB, IMS DC
  • DB2/SQL - Proficient with Stored Procedure Development and Implementation.
  • Experience in working with JCL, VSAM , Rexx
  • Experience in Transactional & Batch programming
     

It is also a big plus if you have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Good understanding of automated testing, continuous integration and deployment practices
  • Working in cross-functional teams with agile methodology
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs including z/OS Connect
  • Basic knowledge on the DevOps and CI / CD Tools like bitbucket, Nexus, IBM DBB, XL deploy etc will be a plus.
  • Clearing & settlement or corporate payment processing knowledge
  • Very good in Norwegian both verbal og written
